Albemarle baseball falls short against Colonial Forge

Albemarle baseball has had some serious battles with Colonial Forge in the last couple of years, and Tuesday was no exception as the Patriots took the Eagles to the wire before falling 10-7.

Albemarle (4-7, 1-4 JD) had a solid night offensively, but struggled to contain Colonial Forge. The Patriots’ Josh Sites and Rashad Talley had strong outings, with Sites going 2-for-2, reaching based four times with two walks while scoring three runs. Talley went 2 for 3.

Colonial Forge got a pair of home runs from Jake Black.

Albemarle will have to bounce back fast — they face Brooke Point Wednesday at 6 p.m. at home.
